On February 21st, 2026 from 3:00pm – 4:40pm, the class will earn the Fossil Badge, developed by the American Federation of Mineralogical Societies. The class looks at the geologic time chart. The types of fossils and the many different forms of life. We will review Nevada’s state fossil and check out dinosaurs. We are meeting at our clubhouse at 480 South Rock Blvd, Sparks, NV. This is just down the street from Baldini’s Sport Casino. The class is free, and we primarily serve children ages 5 to 13. Participants do not need to be RGMS members; they just need to be interested in earth science.
