
RGMS Earth Sciences Scholarship – $2,000 each for Two Awards
The eligible applicant is enrolled as a full- or part-time student with at least 6 credits at any two- or four-year college or university in Nevada, such as Truckee Meadows
Community College or the University of Nevada, Reno.
A student majoring in geology is the primary candidate. Degree programs in geology – geophysics – earth physics – mineralogy – geological engineering -environmental science – seismology – hydrogeology, or other specialties in the geology field are acceptable. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) majors are considered.
A 3.0 GPA or above is required.
Two-hundred-word essay maximum, explaining yourself and career objectives*
The winning applicant will give a 5-10-minute talk at a Society meeting about
themselves and their career objectives. Society meetings are held monthly in Reno, NV, at 7 PM, where photos for publication are necessary.
Annual award announcement in November.
